On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Corrected entry: Blofeld tells Bond that he realised he was not the real Sir Hilary Bray when Bond told him that the Bleuchamp tombs are in the Augsburg Cathedral. Blofeld informs Bond that they are in-fact in the Saint Anna Kirche, and the real Sir Hilary Bray would've known this. However Bond had gotten his information about the Bleuchamp tombs in Augsburg from the real Sir Hilary Bray earlier in the film. (01:19:05)

Correction: Bond says the cathedral in Augsburg, but the tombs are actually in the Saint Anna Kirsch which is also in Augsburg. Sir Hillary Bray only says Augsburg.

Corrected entry: Blofeld advertises his clinic as being able to cure allergies by hypnotism and counseling. This is rubbish - an allergy is the body's own immune system overreacting to a foreign protein; it has nothing to do with feelings of revulsion or fear. (In fact, that's a phobia.) Blofeld's claims are bound to cause widespread suspicion and investigation, something an International Criminal Mastermind could probably live without.

Correction: Wrong. Blofeld does NOT advertise his clinic. It is a privately owned mountaintop laboratory used as front for him to develop his virus. None of the test subjects he is using are filing any complaints against him, so there would be no investigation. As for hypnotism curing allergies, he is obviously curing them using conventional means and only telling them that they must be hypnotized to be cured; then programming them to spread the virus while they are under hypnosis.

Corrected entry: In the stock car scene when Irma Bunt (Blofeld's henchwoman) is chasing Bond and Tracy their car flips over. It the explodes. As it explodes, look at Irma Bunt. She gets engulfed by the flames. However, when Tracy gets killed it is Bunt that shoots her. She might have just survived but she doesn't even have burns.

Correction: While she does seem to get engulfed in flames, she never caught fire. She can be seen exiting to the right of the screen in that same shot, completely untouched. Evidently a combination of fire retardant clothing, and not being in the fire long enough. Also, we have no idea how long it's been since the car exploded. It could be months, even years (though that is unlikely).

Corrected entry: Bond and Tracy's car is fired at from a side, parallel position, but the bullet that takes Tracy's life shatters the windshield and lodges between her eyes, which is practically impossible unless the car were fired at from the front. It's more likely that she would have been shot in the temple, or the back of the head (since just before the shooting she was leaning out of the passenger window).

Correction: Not if Bunt kept on firing just after she passed Bond's car. If she was firing as she was slightly in front, the bullet could have hit the window just before she passed out of firing range. Also it could have hit at very slight angle.

Corrected entry: When Bond leaves his boss's office after getting his two weeks of leave he closes the door, but when the shot changes to the outer office where Moneypenny is, we see him close the door again.

Correction: This is a common "mistake" in Bond early Bond films. There are two doors between Moneypenny's desk and M's office. That is why Bond is constantly seen closing the door twice.

Deliberate mistake: Blofeld doesn't recognize James Bond in this film, even though they met face-to-face in the previous movie, "You Only Live Twice." There is a production-related reason for this. Ian Fleming wrote "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" in 1963 (in which Bond and Blofeld met for the first time), and he wrote "You Only Live Twice" in 1964. However, "You Only Live Twice" was adapted for film first (in 1967), and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was adapted afterward (in 1969). Because the 1969 film was so faithful to its source material, Blofeld and Bond are basically meeting for the first time... again. The producers were aware of this continuity problem and intended to have James Bond undergo plastic surgery for "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (which would conveniently explain Blofeld not recognizing him, as well as the fact that Sean Connery had been replaced by George Lazenby in the lead role). But the plastic surgery idea was discarded in faithfulness to the novel, resulting in a glaring continuity problem between the 1967 and 1969 films.
