Stupidity: When questioning the heavyset witness after his having seen Costner in the hallway, there is no mention of the most obvious identifiable feature...the pearly white Navy uniform he was wearing. Instead, Costner is described as being a common "everyman."

Factual error: Kevin Costner gets on the Washington Metro in Georgetown. There is no metro stop in Georgetown. Also when the doors of the metro close, it's not the doors of the Washington Metro - it's a Baltimore Subway Station and Train.
Scott Pritchard: Tom is the one who saw you at Susan's. He's known about you all along, isn't that right? We do know what that means. If Commander Farrell is the man who was with Miss Atwell, then Commander Farrell is the man who killed Miss Atwell. And we know that the man who killed Miss Atwell is Yuri. Therefore, Commander Farrell is Yuri, quod erat demonstrandum.
