True Grit

Mattie kills Tom by shooting him with a rifle. She falls backwards into a pit and gets bitten by a rattlesnake. Her horse dies trying to get her to a doctor and they have to amputate her arm. Decades later, Mattie reveals her desire to never marry. Rooster passes away and she has his body moved to her family plot. She never hears from LaBoeuf again.

Continuity mistake: When Mattie crossed the river on horseback, she was submerged to her chin. When she exits the water on her horse, her clothes, gear, boots and hair braids should have dripping wet. They appeared dry. When the ranger pulled her off her horse onto the ground, her wet clothes would have caused the dry dirt to cake on her like mud.
