Corrected entry: In the scene when Dom and Brian are fighting, just after Dom throws Brian into the table, we see Brian lying on the ground. When Brian says "She did it for you Dom", Dom gets off Brian. As Brian moves his fist across his face the blood running down the right side of his nose disappears.
Corrected entry: Braga's identity is revealed by a matching fingerprint Brian got from two glasses. If like Brian stated one glass matches the print of Campos and one that of Braga, both prints would have been the same and the police would have got no information other than that Campos touched both glasses.
Correction: The idea is that neither fingerprint shows up as Campos', one the stranger's, and "Campos'" glass has Braga's prints.
Corrected entry: When the first chase starts and they disconnect the trailer from the rest, the truck would stop in real life. Since they have air brakes, the air would leak out and brakes would lock up - on all the trailers and the trucks.
Correction: No, only the trailer would stop. There is a tractor protection valve that stops the air from leaking out of the tractor when the gladhands are disconnected, and the trailer supply air is going through the airlines.
Corrected entry: Near the beginning of the movie, Vin Diesel kicks open a guy's door and you hear Marcus Fenix from Gears of War. When the camera pans to the TV for a split second, Marcus is not seen anywhere.
Correction: Marcus Feenix doesn't need to be on screen to be heard. If, for example you are playing online and another player is controlling Marcus, you wouldn't see Marcus on screen every time he speaks as you are controlling Dom Santiago and see the game from his perspective.
Corrected entry: The Dodge Charger R/T explodes inside the tunnels with Letty's cross. But at the end, Bryan is driving it to rescue Toretto. The car is in pristine condition and even has Letty's cross in the rear view mirror.
Correction: The car is also wrecked at the end of The Fast and the Furious. There is nothing to say they couldn't have restored it as we don't know how long after the explosion it is that Dom is being driven to the prison. We see him reach for something before getting out of the car - most likely the cross.
How did they even get the charger back after the end of the fast and furious. I assume the police would take it as evidence.
Only thing is that when it was wrecked in the fast and furious it was in the Main Street and it was rebuilt over years by Letty. Dom's charger literally blew up underneath a mountain and also BTW wasn't that mountain caving in? I really don't see it being possible for that to be the same chassis as the original car as that would've been a pain in the ass and a $100,000 9 month job.
Corrected entry: The first hitch which Letty sprays changes from black to white. Also, it isn't destroyed when she smashes it with the hammer. (00:03:00)
Corrected entry: The scene with Dom and Brian behind the H1 Humvee. It goes from night to day as Dom says "this is what 60 million dollars looks like".
Corrected entry: In the last stretch of the "qualifiers" street race, the GPS-voice indicates finish is at one quarter of a mile. With both cars presumably already at top speed and then using the boosters, it still takes them forever to reach the point where they collide, which is still about a hundred yards from the finish line. Even though it can be argued the quarter mile isn't shown in real time, too many things happen for too long for it to take place in that distance.
Correction: If you mean forever taking about ten seconds. In fact the cars were not at top speed, as they were shown at about 100 kmh by Brian's speedo just before the boost was hit. A car going 60 mph (approx 98 kmh) running start takes 15 seconds to run a quarter mile. From the time 1/4 mile is announced to the time Brian is taken out of the race is about 20 seconds. The flashing back between Dom and Brian happens concurrently, so we can easily knock a few seconds off that time. Banging the cars together is going to scrub off some speed as well. Dom is shown approaching the finish line with Brian spun out in the background at about 3 semi-truck /trailer units from the finish line which is at most 210 feet. As the race is not completely real time, with the alternating shots between Dom and Brian, the 20 seconds or so it takes to travel the 1/4 mile is not far off what is shown in the movie, and can't be considered a mistake.
Corrected entry: During the opening chase scene, Dom's Grand National starts with an all-black grille, then it's chrome, then goes back to all-black.
Correction: There are a few shots where the very glossy black paint reflects a lot of sunlight, but after checking the entire chase scene frame-by-frame, there is no shot anywhere of the Buick with a chrome grille nor grille frame.
Corrected entry: When the Subaru Impreza WRX that Bryan is driving rolls over at the end of the tunnel, it can be seen that the car is a dummy. It doesn't have any exhaust system or crankshaft for the rear wheels.
Correction: Rear wheels don't have crankshafts, engines do. The WRX is all wheel drive, and popular in rally racing. There are skid plates available to cover the underside of the car to prevent damage while rallying, in which case, very little of the mechanical components would be seen.
Corrected entry: When they leave the mountain after crossing the border, they leave driving between mountains to escape the helicopter. When Paul Walker is driving towards it at the end of the movie, the escape route mountain cover isn't there. Mountain disappears.
Corrected entry: Near the end, when Brian launches out of the tunnel to kill the bad guy, the Subaru Impreza STI he is driving flips. As it flips over you can see the undercarriage and both the drive shaft and gas tank are gone, as well as swaybars and other suspension parts.
Correction: By the time you can see the undercarriage due to the dust and the camera angles, the car has rolled about 6 1/2 times, all the while we can see parts flying off the car. It is not inconceivable the tank and driveshaft et al broke and flew off during the crash.
Corrected entry: In the last chase scene, Dom is being chased by bad guys. He is about to crash, and so he hijacks a Camaro to save himself. The Dodge Charger is then blown up upon impact. Then, when Dom is being transported on the prison bus, Brian is driving the same exact Charger. How did the Charger get fixed in such a short amount of time, let alone from being blown to pieces?
Correction: First of all, this is not necessarily immediately after that chase scene - trials usually take some time to get underway. Second, it's entirely conceivable that this could be another Charger.
Correction: This is because he is wiping the blood away from his nose with his fist.
