Terminator Salvation

Trivia: When Conner takes out the bike between the two cars, the music being played is the same from T2 when they were in the arcade at the shopping mall.

Suggested correction: The song is You Could be Mine by Guns 'n Roses. The song does not play while John is in the arcade, Tim is playing the song on a boombox while he and John are riding to the mall. The song also plays over the end credits of Terminator 2.

Factual error: The FN SCAR-L used by Barnes would not have existed because it was only in early development when Judgement Day took place in 2004 and as such would never have made it into production.

Suggested correction: The FN SCAR-L was already being produced by the time Judgment Day took place. And even if it wasn't, it's possible in the 14 years after Judgment Day, the resistance (or other survivors) was able to continue its production. Also, keep in mind that the 2004 in this timeline was a bit more advanced than the 2004 of our world (where early prototypes of hunter killers and other machines from the future were already being assembled). Because of this, the weapon could have been produced earlier.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Blair escapes with Marcus and Barnes launches an explosive into the tunnel, Marcus hops onto Blair to save her from the scorching flames. After the fire, Marcus' coat would have been burnt to a crisp, his hair singed off and the skin on his back fried. More evidence pointing to this was that his coat was merely one previously worn by a Resistance fighter, not special in any way, and he has regular skin and hair. (01:06:50)

Trivia: When Marcus Wright, Kyle Reese, and Star leave Los Angeles, they make their way up the hill up to Griffith Park. This is an homage to Terminator 1 because this observatory location is the same location that Arnold Schwarzenegger arrives at from the future, finding Bill Paxton and some other thugs and stealing one of their clothes.

Question: The ending of this film seems rather vague on the actual outcome of destroying Skynet's HQ. Does that mean the humans have won the war or is Skynet still a threat? The ending of Terminator 3 would suggest the latter since there it was confirmed that Skynet is capable of moving from transferring itself from one installation to another when needed, yet here everyone seems to believe they accomplished a significant victory. So which is it?

Answer: It's suggested that they've succeeding in destroying a major node in the Skynet network, possibly the key node in that region of North America, but, no, Skynet is still a functioning entity.
