The Incredible Hulk

Factual error: At one point during the final battle, Betty puts her hand on the minigun. Having been recently fired for long periods, that thing would be scalding hot and would badly burn her hand.

Factual error: When the police are searching for abomination in New York City, they reach an alleyway where there's a police car marked 'Toronto Police'.

Factual error: The USB drive should have been destroyed after sitting in Bruce's stomach for a day, or at least been somewhere in his intestines, so he wouldn't have been able to puke it up.

Factual error: Near the start of the movie, in Brazil, Bruce is studying Portuguese but the people are speaking Spanish. Brazilians speak Portuguese.

Factual error: All of the soldiers in the movie are wearing the Battle Dress Uniform, but at the time the movie took place (around the same time as the first Iron Man) that uniform was already phased out and replaced with the Army Combat Uniform. Also, all of the soldiers had their name tags on the left side of the uniform, where the U.S. Army tag is supposed to go, instead of on the right side.

Factual error: General Ross and Blonsky are shown in their Class A uniforms, and both of them are missing their U.S. insignia on the collars. Also, General Ross is shown wearing the infantry cross rifles branch insignia on his collar, but he would not wear a branch insignia as a general officer. I could give Blonsky a pass since he's a British officer wearing an American dress uniform for reasons not explained onscreen, but Ross should have known much better as a general with decades of service. Factual error: When Blonsky is seen wearing the American Class A uniform, it's visible he has not shaved his face for days. Quite unthinkable for the military - be it American or British. If he had time to change from his BDUs to the Class A uniform then he would have had time to shave as well. Soldiers in Iraq aren't even excused from shaving daily unless they have a medical condition that prevents them from shaving.

Factual error: When Bruce and Betty are attempting to drive into New York, they get stopped at a police roadblock at the tunnel entrance and start walking instead. When we see them crossing a bridge, a sign says "No Wake - Speed Limit 9km\H. Being in the United States, this would be miles per hour or knots, not kilometers. (01:11:50)

Continuity mistake: When Dr. Ross and Bruce are in the hotel room, Banner empties the purse on the bed and there is some cash inside the wallet. As they are about to leave he picks up the cash, which isn't in the wallet anymore. (01:08:10)

Trivia: Originally, the only line the Hulk was going to have was saying Betty's name. However, Letterier noticed that fans wanted the Hulk to have more lines so he added "Leave me alone" and "Hulk Smash."

Question: In the alternate opening of this movie, there have been many rumors of Captain America's cameo frozen in the ice as the Hulk smashes it and a big wave of ice shatters. If you look at it very carefully it does seem that it is him. So does anyone know if there has been any confirmation that it is him?

mark91575

Answer: Yes. In the alternate opening, after Bruce turns into the Hulk and causes the ice to collapse, a huge chunk of ice is broken free from the ground. In this ice is a figure dressed in blue holding a round shield with circular red and white stripes. The best way to see this is waiting until the huge ice wall breaks and then slowly advance frame-by-frame and eventually Captain America and his shield will be seen.

Chosen answer: No, none whatsoever. It's something thrown in by the effects department and that fact that it only exists in a deleted scene makes it a mere curiosity and not any sort of canonical representation of the movie version of the character. With a dedicated Captain America film in production, intended to be released in 2011, they would not have thrown in anything definitive regarding the character into an earlier film, to avoid placing constraints on those making the character's own film. While, yes, Steve Rogers will almost certainly end up frozen in ice at some point, that will be dealt with by his film without worrying about an Easter Egg thrown into a previous movie.
