After a female doctor finds a cure for cancer, the cure mutates into a deadly virus that affects everyone. Lt. Col. Robert Neville is working on the cure when he has to get his family out of Manhatton, because they are closingit off. Once all of the uninfected are gone, only soldiers and the infected remain. Neville tries desperately to find a cure using his blood and find other survivors. When he captures the Alpha Female, the Alpha male doesnt like that very much. Neville is running out of time and hope as the darkness closes in.

Trivia: The Brooklyn Bridge scene cost 5 million to make, the most expensive scene ever filmed in New York at the time.
Question: Did just New York get contaminated or did the rest of the world get infected?
Answer: During the evacuation, it seems that only Manhattan is infected, or if there are infections elsewhere, it is not known by the government yet. Sometime in January 2010, things get worse if you follow the posters in the movie.
