Pride & Prejudice

Corrected entry: When Lizzy goes to check on sick Mary, Mary is sick and still under the weather. Lizzy is then seen in the parlor with Caroline, Bingley and Darcy. Suddenly her mother and other 3 sisters show up, and as they are all leaving, Mary is with them looking cheerful and not sick at all.

Correction: It is Jane who is sick at the Bingley's, not Mary.

Corrected entry: The first time we see Georgiana playing the piano she is in a room with a harp and her back is reflected in a mirror. We can see it is the music room. The second time Georgiana is playing the piano, it is in the room that leads into the music room boasting a long red couch as the backdrop, The piano forte seems to move about the castle as it sees fit.

Correction: First, Pemberly is not a castle, it's a large manor house with multiple floors and many rooms used for entertaining. In such a grand home, there would be more than one pianoforte, and Georgiana mentions that Darcy had just bought her a new one.

Corrected entry: When Elizabeth's looking out the window, when Georgiana is playing the piano, the fountains are spouting very high in the air. Don't know how how they could have fountains back then. I expect that electric motors are driving those fountains.

Correction: Nope, gravity and/or steam engines did the job perfectly well - decorative fountains were certainly around at that time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fountains_in_the_United_Kingdom.

Corrected entry: Lizzy is sitting in Charlotte's house. From the outside, the second window from the left is opened. When Mr. Darcy comes in to try to propose to her, all of the windows are closed.

ployp

Correction: The open window is on Lizzie's side of the room (seen just inside). The closed one is on the opposite side of the room, where Darcy enters. During the scene, the same window that was open in the first shot is never shown again.

Corrected entry: Lizzie and her Aunt and Uncle visit Pemberly in a carriage, it is about 5 miles from their inn. Lizzie wanders off and runs into Darcy and his sister. She runs away and Darcy follows her. They talk briefly, and he offers to take her home; she says she likes to walk. Her aunt and uncle seem to have left without her.

Correction: Where's the mistake? You've just described a scene.

rswarrior

Corrected entry: When everybody is leaving the living room because Mr Bingley is going to propose to Jane, there are flowers and paint brushes on the little table standing against the wall. After the proposal they are gone. (01:40:10 - 01:41:20)

Correction: Yes, the little flowers and paintbrushes in a cup are on 'a' table. They are actually on a second tabletop to the left of the table that is up against the wall, beside the doorway.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: In the scene after Elizabeth rejects Mr. Darcy's proposal, Elizabeth has her hair in a braid that falls over her right shoulder before she looks in the mirror. While looking in the mirror, the braid is over her left shoulder. When she turns to see Darcy riding away, the braid is over her right shoulder again.

Correction: That's because you see the mirror image.

Mr. Darcy: Miss Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you... I had to see you. I have fought against my better judgment, my family's expectations, the inferiority of your birth by rank and circumstance. All these things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony.
Elizabeth Bennet: I don't understand.
Mr. Darcy: I love you.

Question: Why is there an alternative U.S ending (special feature on the UK DVD version)?

Answer: In previews to American audiences there were lots of comments that it was not a good ending (not romantic enough) so they filmed an ending with Darcy and Lizzie kissing to make it more romantic. The ending in other countries matches the original ending of the book.
