Fantastic Four

The Fantastic Four fight Dr Doom on the streets. Reed freezes Victor while Johnny does a supernova on him. On a celebration boat, Reed asks Susan to marry him, and she says yes. The Thing stays as the Thing, not as Ben Grimm, and gets together with the blind woman in the bar. On a barge, you see that Dr Doom has been put into a container, and is being shipped off to Latveria. You don't know if he is dead or not...

Trivia: A Fantastic Four movie was filmed in 1994 with the intention to not release the movie to the public. The film's distributor, New Horizons, had the Fantastic Four license for some time and would have lost it if they didn't make a movie promptly. When rumors circulated that Chris Columbus wanted to make a movie version of the comic, New Horizons scrambled to film their own version so they could hold onto the license for a few more years. The actors and most of the crew were unaware that the movie was never to be released, but many began to suspect it when the director made no effort to ensure any level of quality in the film. The 1994 version continues to circulate via illegal bootlegs, similar to the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Question: When Reed, Sue and Ben see Johnny on TV, they see that he has a four on his uniform. Sue asks where it came from and at this point a brief glimpse of a four is also on Reeds uniform but then he quickly hides it giving the indication that he put one on his uniform as well as the others. If Reed only wanted to find a way of getting rid of their powers, then why would he place a four on his uniform? He didn't want to use his powers to help people at all. He only wanted to find a way to cure himself and the others.

Answer: From the look on Reed's face, I assumed he checked to see if he had the patch on his suit as well. He sees that he does and in order to hide it from the others in fear of Ben and Susan thinking he was involved, he hid it quickly and did not mention it.
