Other mistake: During the Baer and Braddock fight, when the camera angle is from far away, you can see that Braddock is not actually connecting with his punches on Baer. Yet Baer still reacts like he's been hit. This also true with Baer hitting Braddock when the camera is showing the fight from far away in the stands.

Trivia: Fighter Max Baer is the father of former "Beverly Hillbillies" star Max Baer Jr, who played Jethro. Max Baer Jr was not happy with the way the film portrayed his father.
Question: I realize how much the wedding ring must have meant to Mae Braddock, but I don't see why she would not have pawned it, rather than send her children away or become sicker because they could not pay for the heat?
