The twins' parents arrive home while all three (Theo, Isabelle and the American Matthew) are asleep, find the place a mess with bottles everywhere and find the three naked in the tent. Careful not to disturb them, they write a cheque to cover expenses and leave quickly. Isabelle wakes up, finds the cheque and tries to gas them all. A short time later, the window smashes from a riot downstairs and they awake - Isabelle hides the evidence of her failed suicide bid. They end up joining the march where Matthew, the eternal pacifist, tries to persuade the twins not to pursue violent means, but they reject him and run into the fray, and throw a molotov cocktail at the riot police as Matthew walks away despairing. The last scene is of the riot police storming the crowd.

Factual error: During the film, there are extracts of two songs - 'The Spy' and 'Maggie McGill' - from the Doors' fifth album, Morrison Hotel. Great songs, however the film is set in 1968 and Morrison Hotel was not released until 1970.

Matthew: It makes films like crimes, and directors like criminals.
