Continuity mistake: When the windows on Nick's truck are smashed, Elizabeth has protective gloves on when she covers her face from the glass, they are then gone when the truck comes to a halt.

The fog kills the sailors as well as the local weatherman and Andy Wayne's nanny, all descendants of the town founders. Stevie Wayne is trapped by herself in the lighthouse/radio station as the fog rolls in.Eventually, a group of survivors, namely Elizabeth Solley (Jamie Lee Curis), Andy Wayne (Ty Mitchell), Father Malone (Hal Holbrook) Cathy Williams (Janet Leigh) and (I think) Nick Castle (Tom Atkins) convene in Father Malone's church. They hole up in Father Malone's study, and the Fog surrounds them. They decide that Father Malone must be the only one of the six still alive, and Father Malone take the cross from his study (Whats left of blake's gold) and goes out into the church, which i now inhabited by the fog, now in human form. He hands overthe cross to the ghost of Blake and the fog recedes. Meanwhile, Stevie is fighting off the ghosts with a fishing hook, and the fog recedes just before they kill her. All except father Malone drive down to Antonio Bay. Stevie starts broadcasting a warning about the fog from the station. Father malone is killed by the ghosts who return, thus completing their revenge.

Trivia: When Father Malone discovers the journal, at the beginning of the movie, he opens it to a full page of text. We only see it very briefly but if you pause the film it appears to be some sort of joke. Here's a couple of extracts I could make out: "writing dumb shit in this fucking movie.." "...big tits, tatoos (sic)..." (00:06:41)
Question: I recently bought the Scream Factory Blu-ray. During the opening with the old man telling the kids the spooky story, there's a moment where it cuts from a wideshot to a closeup, and it looks like there's a weird, random zooming effect added that's only about five frames between the wide and closeup shots (between the lines "drew towards land" and "Suddenly, out of the night"). Is that part of the original movie, or is that just some sort-of defect on the disc? It just looks out of place.
