Easy Rider

After many bizarre and heartbreaking events (George Hanson's (Nicholson) death, a psychedelic LSD trip), Wyatt/Captain America (Fonda) and Billy's (Hopper) long journey is brought to an end, when Wyatt realises their search for freedom, was a spiritual failure. While on their way to Florida, a couple of rednecks in a pickup truck pull up beside them. The passenger points a shotgun at Billy and taunts him. He then shoots Billy. Wyatt turns around to help Billy. The rednecks turn around, and shoot Wyatt off his bike as he drives towards them to get help for Billy. The shell hits the gas tank on Wyatt's bike, causing it to explode.

Continuity mistake: In the early part when Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper are getting their choppers ready, the film clip was reversed. You can tell because the American flag on Fonda's jacket has the stars on the right shoulder, not the left like the rest of the movie. (00:06:10)

Billy: That's what it's all about, man, I mean, like, you know. You go for the big money, man, and you're free! You dig?
Captain America: We blew it. Good night, man.

Trivia: When Wyatt, Billy and George Hanson enter the diner, all the people in the diner were local inhabitants of that town - none of them were actors. Same for the two rednecks who shoot Wyatt and Billy from their truck, at the end of the film - they weren't actors and that was their pickup truck.

Question: What kind of dirt bikes are they riding in the opening scene of Easy Rider? Is it Harley?

Answer: Hopper is riding something British, Triumph or BSA. Hard to tell them apart and both were real common at the time.
