Character mistake: When 007 is interrogating Professor Dent at Miss Taro's house, Dent attempts to shoot him when he asks "who are you working for?" But a minute ago, his gun ran out of ammo when he was shooting at the fake 007 in the bed. So there is no point of picking it up and trying to shoot him. Also, when this happens, 007 says "that's a Smith and Wesson. And you've had your six." This is incorrect, as Dent carried a Colt M1911. However, he did fire six shots before running empty, which is one bullet less than the magazine capacity of an M1911. (00:56:30)

James Bond: Mink-lined with first-class service.
Trivia: Roger Moore was Fleming's original choice to play 007, but he was under a network contract for the television show "The Saint". Other actors who were considered for the role of James Bond included Cary Grant, Trevor Howard, Rex Harrison, and David Niven – he would play the role of Bond in the spoof 1967 film "Casino Royale".
Question: When James Bond goes to see Professor Dent at his office, it's morning. After he leaves, Dent goes out to Dr. No's island and picks up the caged tarantula. The next time we see Bond, he's returning to his hotel, and it's night, probably late, as he goes to sleep soon after. Where did Bond go between seeing Dent in the morning and returning to his hotel that night?

Answer: It's obvious what he does between those times. In "Goldfinger," Felix Leiter sees him just moseying off between an event and the climax of the movie and says to his pal "Ten'll get you one it's a drink or a dame." No doubt Bond's using his time...productively.
