Revealing mistake: In the scene where Tom accidentally kills Sarah's dog, he is seen reading a magazine while struggling with the dog. The dog continues to gnaw at Tom's ankle, and eventually rips open his snap pants. In a couple of the shots, you can see an ankle brace that Ashton Kutcher wore to protect him from the dog's bites. Continuity mistake: During the scene with Bags growling, pulling on Tom's pants and chasing the ball, the rug on the floor changes position in different shots, note the frill edges. (00:11:40)
Continuity mistake: When Tom bounces the ball for Bags, the reflection on the TV shows the pillows on the bed, but in the next shot the bed is seen and the pillows aren't arranged the same way. (00:11:40)
Continuity mistake: The camera pans the bouncing ball that Bags chases and on the left are two candles and something blue near the globe. In the next shot the blue item is gone and the candle is closer to the edge on the suitcase. (00:11:40)
Continuity mistake: When Tom tosses the ball, Bags runs after it and in the first shot he runs past the rug. Then in the next shot the camera pans the rug in front, from the POV of Bags, who hasn't reached the rug yet and in the next shot, Bags is still on the middle of the rug. (00:11:40)
Continuity mistake: Sarah points her finger at Tom and tells him that his nostrils always flare when he lies. In the first shot her white cuff is folded over the sweater but in the next side shot, still pointing, the cuff is down. (00:12:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sarah is saying that she wants to marry Tom, Sarah has her left hand behind Tom's neck but in the next shot it is on his face. Then again in the next shot it is behind his neck and in the next shot it is on his face. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: Tom and Sarah excitedly drive up to her parents' house, already dressed up, to announce their engagement and she's wearing something with red spaghetti straps, but in the next shot announcing their engagement in the living room, her spaghetti strap dress is beige. Continuity mistake: At the McNerney home, the family is gathered in the living room with Tom and Sarah. In the close-up Willie and Paul stand closer to the lamp between them, than they do in the wide shots preceding and following it. (00:14:10)
Continuity mistake: Tom, Sarah and Peter are in a huddle, and in the first wide shot Tom's yellow flags are not there, but in the next close-up shot, still in a huddle, the flags are at his thighs. (00:16:40)
Continuity mistake: During the touch football game, when Willie sacks Tom, he is on Tom's right side clutching him and bringing Tom down. However in the next shot as Tom hits the grass, Willie is on Tom's left side letting go of Tom's left leg. (00:17:05)
Continuity mistake: Willie tackles Tom and in the first shot he puts his right hand under Tom's arm, but in the next shot Willie's hand is first over, then he puts it under Tom's arm. (00:17:05)
Continuity mistake: Tom sneaks into Sarah's bedroom and climbs into bed with her. In the next close-up the comforter and shams on her bed are positioned very differently than in the previous shot. (00:18:55)

Continuity mistake: After having the bloody nose, Sarah leaves the bathroom with blood still under her left nostril and lies down. In the next shot, a close-up, the blood is not under the nostril and she did not wipe it away. (00:28:35)
Continuity mistake: Sarah lies down with Tom at her side, on their wedding night, with tissue under her upper lip in the wide shot, yet in the next close-up the tissue is gone, not hidden, just gone. This is due to editing from a longer sequence. (00:29:00)
Audio problem: When Tom wakes Sarah and says, "Sweetie, our plane leaves in an hour," she slams her face into his. The loud, distinctive, punching sound effect is completely overdone. (00:29:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Tom and Sarah both have tissue up their noses, the position, size and length of Tom's tissue changes throughout the whole scene. (00:29:50)
Continuity mistake: Waiting to go together into the smelly lavatory on the airplane, Tom and Sarah stand outside the door. In the close-up Tom's red sweatshirt is off his right shoulder, but in the next shot it's back on his shoulder. Her hair is different in both shots too. (00:31:20)
Revealing mistake: Tom and Sarah are in the lavatory on the airplane fooling around. She sits on the counter and puts her hand on the faucet. Before it starts to spray water, we see the hole that was drilled into the side of the spout in order to make it spray the water sideways! (00:31:30)
