Cool Runnings

The four Jamaicans and their coach Irv Blitzer (John Candy) make it to the Olympics. Their first run was a disaster, but together they find their spirit again and come back to blow everyone away with an amazing second run. On their third and final run in the bobsled, they were in the running for a medal, when one of the blades comes loose and the sled crashed near the end. Not to be defeated so easily, the four proud Jamacians, hoist the sled onto their shoulders and carry it the rest of the way do the track and to the finish line. Because of this they were unable to walk off with a medal, but they left instead with the respect of everyone who doubted their abilities. Together, the four guys agree that in four years, they will return to compete again.

Revealing mistake: When Junior inadvertently trips Derice and Yul Brenner in the trial run, it's clear that his legs do not come in contact with either men; the actors just threw themselves to the ground. It's particularly noticeable due to this shot being played in slow motion.
