Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)

Trivia: On the artwork for the widescreen DVD disc and the insert, Picard is shown wearing his old uniform from "The Next Generation," instead of the uniform he wore in this movie.

Trivia: In the scene towards the end where Picard toasts Data he says "to absent friends." This is the same toast that Kirk used in Star Trek 3 in reference to Spock.

Trivia: Director Bryan Singer (X-Men among others) makes a cameo appearance on the bridge of the Enterprise. He's a non-speaking extra. When the Reman boarding party has beamed aboard and Riker and Worf leaves the Bridge to take care of the boarding party Singer is the officer who takes over Worf's tactical station. In the audio commentary on the DVD release Nemesis director Stuart Baird points out Bryan Singer's appearance and continues 'apparently he's a big fan of Star Trek'. (01:23:25)

Trivia: At the end of the movie, B-4 starts singing, causing Picard to smile because he knows Data's memories are surfacing. This is almost identical to a scene in Voyager when the Doctor was copied onto the matrix of Dr. Zimmerman to restore his program. It ended with Kes having the identical reaction that Picard had to B-4.

Trivia: A nice nod to history. Just after Shinzon orders attack plan 'Shinzon Theta', Riker orders defence pattern 'Kirk Epsilon'.

Trivia: At the end of the movie, where Capt. Picard is toasting friends and family with the wine, watch when they show the bottle. The wine brand is Chateau Picard. Picard's family has a vineyard in France, he visits it in one TNG Episode.

Trivia: In the scene where Picard and Data are reviewing a tactical display that shows the location of five Federation vessels near enough to render assistance, the last ship on the list is the USS Archer, likely named after Capt. Jonathan Archer, commander of the USS Enterprise NX-01 in the current TV series 'Enterprise'.

Trivia: At the end of the movie, when Riker is remembering his first meeting with Data, he talks about Data trying to whistle a song on the Holodeck. This actually refers to the Next Generation pilot episode Encounter at Farpoint. While Riker can't remember the song, fans probably can - it was 'Pop Goes The Weasel.'

Trivia: Other than the "absent friends" toast to Data at the end of the film, Dr. Crusher is nowhere to be seen in the final 40 minutes of the film after Picard orders battlestations.

Trivia: After Data dies, the Enterprise returns to Earth and is orbiting above Italy. It's a tribute to Pinocchio, on whom Data was based.
