Continuity mistake: When Kyle first breaks the car, and Chucky flies out the window, behind the wire fence you can see loads of barrels and crates. But when Kyle smashes the car into the fence in an attempt to hit Chucky, in a wide shot you can see all the barrels and crates have fallen over, but there are less barrels and crates than in the previous shot. (00:56:15)

Continuity mistake: In two different places in the movie, Andy's foster parents have the same argument with the EXACT SAME dialogue, about Andy being too much to handle. Obviously, the director decided to try the dialogue in two different settings, and both scenes were accidentally left in.

Continuity mistake: When Chucky is pursuing Andy up the slide we first see Chucky all they way down on the slide and Andy half way up. When it cuts Chucky is suddenly at Andy's feet. (01:07:00)

Continuity mistake: When Andy, Phil and Joanne are driving, a big truck suddenly appears in front of their car so Phil has to urgently stop the car. Then you see the car has pretty much stopped. It then cuts from under the truck and you can see the car is still moving a few feet before stopping. (00:09:45)

Continuity mistake: In one wide shot as the fire trucks drive down the road, it is apparent that Kyle's red ford, which she crashed earlier, is not there. It should be partially visible in this shot, yet isn't. (00:59:20)

But in the next wide shot of the classroom, the black pencil pot has moved much further to the left of her desk. Other items on the desk, such as the sheets of paper, and books also move. (00:34:10)

Continuity mistake: In the opening montage, when Chucky is rebuilt, they show his shoes being tied. About a minute later, when the CEO and his assistant enter the room, you can see one of the tech guys tying his shoes in the background... even though they were already tied.

Continuity mistake: The first shot of the movie is an extreme closeup of Chucky's eye. Two shots later, you get a view of his whole face... and his eye is completely different. The color and design is slightly different, and the charred plastic around it doesn't match. The scene was shot with two different props (an oversized eye for the extreme closeup as confirmed in the commentary, then a regular sized doll-head for the next shot), and they didn't quite match.

Continuity mistake: When Kyle pulls her car in front of the big truck with all the newspapers in back, the car is first shown curved at an angle, but after a camera change to a different angle, the car looks straighter in relation to the truck and not blocking it in the same area.

Continuity mistake: In the first movie, when the batteries fall out of the Good Guy box, they are size D. When Andy goes to check the batteries in this movie and opens Chucky up, the batteries are marked size C. (00:26:00 - 00:27:00)

Continuity mistake: Early in the film when the Chucky doll is being rebuilt, he is put together limb by limb and has a hard plastic body. When the doll is complete and seen in later scenes throughout the movie he has floppy arms and legs which would indicate a stuffed soft body doll. The good guy doll was shown as a soft body doll several times in the first film, like when Maggie picks him up from from in front of the TV by his arm. (00:03:10 - 00:15:30)

Continuity mistake: When Andy is tied up on his bed, the two skipping ropes tied to his feet have green rope, but in one closeup of Andy kicking his foot about, the rope is yellow, then in the next wide shot, is green once again. (In the closeup of Andy kicking his feet he has also gained slippers!) (00:28:35 - 00:29:40)

Chucky: Did you miss me, Andy? I sure missed you. I told you, we were gonna be friends 'til the end. And now, it's time to play. I got a new game, sport. It's called "Hide the soul." And guess what? You're it.

Trivia: The other good-guy doll "Tommy" was allegedly named after Tom Holland, director of the first film. Holland and series creator Don Mancini supposedly didn't get on very well behind-the-scenes, and it's been suggested that Chucky breaking and then burying the Tommy doll was a subtle jab at him.
