Other mistake: In the scene where Tom Hanks and his son are riding in the car and Hanks is telling about the aunt in Perdition, a shadow is casted onto the hood of the car. However, the reflection of the clouds in the windshield never get blocked out.
Other mistake: At the time Tom Hanks hides behind the chest when being shot at by Jude Law, it doesn't seem possible that at that close range, he could hold the chest lid up against multiple shotgun shots.
Continuity mistake: In the end of the diner scene Jude Law fires after the car with Sullivan and his son. A bullet goes through the rear window but not through the windshield. We see the bullet path go by Tom Hanks' head. Regardless, there's no bullet hole anywhere in the car afterwards.
Suggested correction: There is a bullet hole in the rear view glass.

Trivia: Anthony LaPaglia shot a scene as Al Capone, which was deleted after it was decided to leave Capone off-screen. As a minor compensation, LaPaglia is listed first in the credits' "special thanks" section.
Question: What is the Tony Calvano inhaling from the glass that is on his desk?
Answer: He was doing a hot rail. If you heat up cocaine in a glass until it burns, you then inhale the smoke left behind.
Answer: My guess is ether... Not cocaine.
