Corrected entry: Carlito and Gail go to Grand Central Station to catch a southbound Amtrak train to Miami. Such a train would depart from Penn Station, not Grand Central.

Correction: Amtrak stopped using Grand Central Station in 1991.

Also, the subway scene takes place on the Broadway IRT (#1 train) which conveniently goes to Penn station. It does not go near Grand Central.

Corrected entry: The movie is set in the 1970's. In the scene where Al Pacino goes somewhere in Broadway to see his ex girlfriend performing and when she meets him at the table where he's siting, she orders a Diet Coke. There was no diet Pepsi or Diet Coke or any other sort of diet soda back in the 1970's. They all came out in the early 1980's.

Correction: Diet Pepsi was introduced in 1964.

Correction: She does in fact order a Diet Pepsi, which was available in the 70's.

Corrected entry: They play Patti Labelle's song Lady Marmalade. This isn't right for the time line of 1975 as the song wasn't released until 1982.

Correction: The song Lady Marmalade by Labelle was released in 1974 and became a hit in 1975.

Corrected entry: During one of the last scenes, as cops chase Carlito through NYC's Grand Central Terminal, he runs past a couple of Chase Manhattan Bank ATM machines. Last time I checked, there were no ATMs in 1975.

Correction: The ATM celebrated its 30th birthday in 1995 (see: http://cgi.cnn.com/TECH/9509/atm/), so it wasn't even brand new in 1975.

Actually the first ATM was 1964.

Visible crew/equipment: In the last sequence at the train station, when Carlito runs through the main hall after the shooting on the escalator, you can see whole crew standing next to the wheeled platform with camera operator on it.
