Corrected entry: When Lanie is talking with her father and he shows her his tape collection, he has her pick out "the red one on the end." When she inserts it, it is a brand new black VHS tape.

Correction: The "red one on the end" is the CASE for the video tape, the tape itself being black.

Corrected entry: The voice in the plane announces that they have arrived at LaGuardia International Airport. LaGuardia is not an international airport and serves only National flights. JFK is NY's international airport.

Correction: LaGuardia is an international airport.

Continuity mistake: When Lanie is talking to her sister at her sister's house, they are seated across from each other on sofas. Her sister has a plate of cookies in front of her on the coffee table. As Lanie and her sister are talking and her sister gets up towards the end of the scene, the plate of cookies have moved across the table in front of Lanie.

Lanie: Someone once said, live everyday as if it were your last cause one of these its gonna be. Jack was right a part of me did die that day the part of me that didn't know how to live. What does the future hold, Jack knows. When I talk to him I make sure we only talk about sports and weather.

Question: Excluding plot device, when Lanie goes to see Prophet Jack a second time, why didn't she simply ask him how she was going to die?

Answer: Probably one of many reasons. It could be fear, denial, inevitability, accepting one's fate, and so on. Not many people want to know exactly when and how they will die.
