Visible crew/equipment: When the boy who wanted to be a wizard is being chased in his dream, they are in a dark tight corridor, and Freddy releases a chair with spikes on it to chase after the boy, but if you look you can clearly see the chair is being pulled with strings. (01:12:50)

6.2/10.The most overrated of The Nightmare On Elm Street franchise. What should've been a good idea fell flat. The kids are all unlikable.Patricia Arquette, whose family name alone has gotten her around, was the worst as she matched Heather Langenkamp in blandness.Robert Englund and John Saxon really tried hard but they couldn't save this mess.I rank this just barely above The Dream Child as the worst of the franchise. The presence of the Nancy Thompson character bothered me as she's putting these kids on pill reliance while doing the cliche of doctors know nothing while somebody outside of that field does.Heck, Stacey Alden as the nude nurse in her brief appearance out acted both Langenkamp and Arquette. This was a mess.
Freddy Krueger: Joey... look. All the little piggies come home.
Nancy Thompson: Let him go, Krueger.
Freddy Krueger: Your wish... is my command.
Trivia: During Joey's nightmare, he is seduced by a topless nurse who then captures him before turning into Freddy. As originally conceived, only her face was going to transform at first, thus having Freddy's burnt male head on top of an otherwise perfect topless female body in order to create an eerie, otherworldly look. The actress portraying the nurse even took part in some test shots and performed the scene under heavy prosthetics to make her face look exactly like Freddy's. However, the effect was cut as the crew felt it looked far too weird, and that it diminished the moment when Freddy fully appears on-camera in the scene.
Question: I saw this movie for the first time in years the other night, and I did not remember that Nancy was killed in this one. Is this the last nightmare film that she was in (other than the one where Freddy came to the real world and everybody played real names)?
Answer: Technically she was also in New Nightmare, both as the "Nancy" character and as the actress Heather in various scenes.
Technically the author said other than the one where Freddy came to the real world and everybody played real names. So therefore the 1st answer was accurate.
