Factual error: The zip code Henry gives Beth to Augusta (04139) is not a zip code.
Factual error: The movie takes place in 1981, but when the councilors decide to go into town they jump in the back of a very battered looking 1985 Chevrolet pickup.
Factual error: Nancy is sitting on the porch knitting, however the orange and yellow blanket she is working on is crocheted. These are two very different crafts and crochet items can not be made with knitting needles. (00:30:00)
Continuity mistake: When Ben and Susie are talking to the kids about being in the talent show, if you look at the window behind them, it is raining, but a few seconds later when the scene changes to outside, it is a bright and sunny day. Also, I was an extra in the movie (I sit in front of Abby and Lindsey when they're making out in the talent show) and it rained the whole time while they filmed the movie.
