Super Troopers

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene with the three stoners, Ramathorne and Rabbit drive away after the license and registration bit, then reverse to pull up right behind the boys' car. As the cruiser is reversing, there is a red car going straight on the other side of the highway, about the same speed as the cruiser. But as the cruiser pulls up behind the stoners' car, the red car is nowhere to be seen. (00:05:26)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Rabbit, Thorny, and Foster are chasing Mac in the white Miata. Notice the cloud of dust when Mac skids to a stop in front of the bar, and then in the very next shot, there is no dust at all. (00:08:27)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Ramathorn and Rabbit are running into the bar to catch Mac, there are two officers (presumably Ramathorn and Rabbit) are outside; but, when the shot changes to inside the bar, three officers come through the door. (00:08:30)

Other mistake: In the scene where Thorny, Mac, and Foster put Rabbit in the locker with the shaving cream, the Captain comes in and shows them an article in the newspaper about the fight with the Spurbury cops at the Winnebago murder scene. The article, which is entitled "Highway Patrol Out of Control." has nothing to do with the fight (if you pause the movie, preferably on the DVD, read a little bit of the article. The article is about an art sculpture exhibition and has nothing to do with the fight.) (00:21:55)

Continuity mistake: When Thorny is talking to his wife, while the German couple is jumping in the bed, Thorny changes from holding the bananas up by his chest to down by his waist, as well as the direction of the bananas, between the shots. (00:42:50)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: In the first shot of Ramathorne and Foster driving the stolen Winnebago from the Spurbury Police Station to the governor's speech, the shot is reversed. The big giveaway is that they are driving on the left side of the road. Also the road signs are facing the wrong direction and the door to the rear of the Winnebago is on the wrong side. The following shot of the Winnebago is the same footage as before, but this time it is correctly oriented. (01:10:39)

Visible crew/equipment: Several times throughout the movie you can see lighting screens and lighting equipment in the reflection of the troopers sunglasses.

Continuity mistake: When Ramathorne and Rabbit pull the Porsche over, Rabbit walks up to the car and leans on the door. When looking in the Porsche from Rabbit's point of view he has his right hand on the door but from the driver of the Porsche's point of view he has his left hand on the door.

Other mistake: In the shot where Ramathorne is at the gun range, about to shoot Mac in the bullet proof cup, he is talking to Foster and Rabbit about how they are going to get in to the Spurbury Police Lockup. If you watch him draw his gun, he moves his other hand down to chamber a bullet, the sound effect is heard, but he never actually pulls the action back on the gun.

Visible crew/equipment: During the first Winnebago scene, if you look closely under the Winnebago you can see the shadows of the crew members shaking it.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie when the troopers bust the party, watch the shot where Thorny and Rabbit rip of their St. Anky uniforms. It's obvious that the blonde haired kid got up against the wall, but in the next shot he isn't against it.

Continuity mistake: In the Winnebago scene where they discover the dead body, the Spurberry PD Chief draws his gun when he hears a sound in the back. He draws his gun. But his gun is actually a Crossman BB gun.

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the baseball game, Mac is seen eating packs of fundip. In one shot he has five packs, in the next shot he only has three.

Continuity mistake: In the chase scene of the Miata, the inner lights on the light bar are alternating red/blue when the cruisers are seen from afar, but on the close ups of the cruisers the inner lights are not on.

Continuity mistake: Around 30-35 minutes into the movie, there is a scene where the captain is seated on a desk and talking to his officers who are all in chairs in front of him. The camera cuts several times to the officers and in turn to the captain at which time you can see the minute hand on the clock in the background go back and forth between ten past five and twelve past five.

Continuity mistake: In the opening sequence with the three stoners, there are various shots both inside and outside of the car. When the shot is outside of the car looking in, you can see there is no rear view mirror, but when the camera is inside the car it is there.

Visible crew/equipment: In the pursuit scene between the Mac in the Miata and Ramathorn and Rabbit in the Squad car, both vehicles drive by the camera which is located on the shoulder of the highway. If you slow the DVD version down, you can see a cone positioned in front of the camera so the drivers knew when to steer clear.

Visible crew/equipment: In an early scene of the film, several of the Troopers are chasing a speeding white Miata down the highway. At one point, the Miata takes an exit off the main road in an attempt to elude his pursers. In one shot, as the Miata whips around the corner, you can see a few orange cones and what appears to be a crew member who are blocking off traffic on the road in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Continuity mistake: When the stoners in the car are driving, we see a shot of a bridge in the road that they will drive over. However, right after that, when they would have driven over it, we can see a shot of what the car has already driven over, and there is no bridge.

[Having pulled over a speeding driver.]
Mac: All right, how about Cat Game?
Foster: Cat Game? What's the record?
Mac: Thorny did six, but I think you can do ten.
Foster: Ten? Starting right meow?
[They go up to the car.]
Driver: Sorry about the...
Foster: All right meow. Hand over your license and registration.
[The man gives him his license.]
Foster: Your registration? Hurry up meow.
Driver: [laughing.] Sorry.
Foster: Is there something funny here boy?
Driver: Oh, no.
Foster: Then why you laughing, Mister... Larry Johnson?
[Foster stares at him.]
Foster: All right meow, where were we?
Driver: Excuse me, are you saying meow?
Foster: Am I saying meow?
Driver: I thought...
Foster: Don't think boy. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
[The man laughs.]
Foster: Meow. What is so damn funny?
Driver: I could have sworn you said meow.
Foster: Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly-bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer? DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE?
[The man is uncontrollably laughing.]
Foster: You stop laughing right meow!
Driver: [Stops and swallows hard.] Yes sir.
Foster: Meow, I'm gonna have to give you a ticket on this one. No buts meow. It's the law.
[Rips off the ticket and hands it to the man.]
Foster: Not so funny meow, is it?
[Foster gets up to leave, but Mac shakes his hands at him, indicating only nine meows.]
Foster: Meow!
