Urban Legend

Question: I do not completely get the whole "Gang headlight" thing at all,I've seen the film more than 10 times but it still is confusing.

Answer: This urban legend involves wannabe gang-bangers being required to make a kill to join the gang. In this scenario they drive with their headlights off and kill the driver of the first car that flashes their headlights at them. This was proved to be a false urban legend by snopes.com where more information can be found at http://www.snopes.com/horrors/madmen/lightsout.asp.

Question: Why does Brenda bother with all the other characters? They had nothing to do with David's death, only Natalie and Michelle did.

Rob245

Answer: Simply killing Natalie did not satisfy her quest for revenge. She also wanted to torment her by killing all of her friends before finally going for Natalie. Also, Brenda was unhinged/insane and like many other serial killers, got a thrill out of killing.

Question: How can Natalie and Michelle get only probation for causing someone's death?

Rob245

Answer: They would have been charged with vehicular manslaughter, not even a felony in some jurisdictions. If it was a first offense and/or they lied about what happened, probation wouldn't be off the mark.

Continuity mistake: When Sasha is pushed over the banister by the killer, she grabs the corner of the stairs; as she hangs on, her hands change position. In one shot she has one hand either side of the corner. Then she has both hands on the right side, then back again. (01:07:55)
