Continuity mistake: When the trolley cart comes screeching through the lounge and knocks Cogsworth down, you see that Mrs. Potts, Chip and the milk and sugar pot are on the cart. Then when it cuts, and the trolley screeches to a halt beside Maurice, who's sitting down, the milk and the sugar pot have vanished from the trolley. In addition, after Maurice takes a sip out of Chip the teacup, in the following shot of the trolley, a spoon has appeared on it. (00:15:00)

Continuity mistake: The brightness of the yellow quivers of Gaston's arrows change during the final scenes. For instance, when he's outside and yells "But remember, the beast is mine!" they are quite dark yellow, but as he puts one in his quiver to shoot the beast, they are bright yellow.

Continuity mistake: When the Beast brings Belle into the library, the axis on the globe goes all the way through. A few seconds later, the globe is shown again, and now the axis only goes halfway up the globe.

Continuity mistake: When the Beast first shows Belle into her room, when he leaves you can see the doors have a curvy, spirally pattern which leads down the them. But when Belle is up in her room crying and Mrs. Potts comes to her door, Belle then approachs the door and we see the design on the door is now two large squares. However in the following shot of Mrs. Potts entering, saying "I thought you might like a spot of tea", the design has changed back to the curvy, spirally pattern. (00:24:45 - 00:30:15)

Continuity mistake: After the scene when Gaston is talking to the Asylum-keeper, it then cuts to a wide view of Belle and Maurices house. There is clearly no snow by the wall of the stairs or on top of the water turbine. Then when Gaston and Le Fou search for Maurice and Belle and find the house empty, they leave, and then Gaston throws Le Fou into a large pile of snow by the wall, and there is also a very large pile of snow sitting on the water turbine, which has magically appeared, without it snowing. Continuity mistake: When Belle opens the bedroom door for Mrs. Potts and Chip, in the close-up the bottom corners of the doors are aligned perfectly with the edge of the floor tiles, when both doors are closed. Later, when Cogsworth comes in to announce dinner, the bottom corners of the doors are above the center of the tile, when the doors are closed. This should never change. (00:30:15 - 00:31:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: It is said that the magical rose will start to wither until the Beast's 21st birthday, and in the song 'Be our Guest', everyone sings "It's ten years since we've had anybody here, and we're obsessed". So that would make the Beast only 11 years old when he turned away the Enchantress that put a spell on him, however he is portrayed as being much older-looking.

Continuity mistake: When Lefou runs out of the castle, he is missing one shoe. In the next shot, outside the castle, if you look closely he has both shoes on.

Continuity mistake: Cogsworth's height as a human keeps changing in the final minute or so of the film. For instance, when he first transforms from a clock into a man, he comes up to about half of Lumiere's head, but when they argue, Cogsworth is taller than that. Then in the last shot, as it zooms out as Belle and the prince are dancing, he doesn't even come up to Lumiere's shoulders.

Continuity mistake: After Beast shows Belle to her room, he slams the door and when Belle leans on the door there are backplates secured to the door, behind the two door handles. However, in the next shot the backplates are gone. (00:24:50)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When the Beast briefly dies at the end of the film, before being turned human, Belle cries and lays down on his chest, with her head resting on his red cape and her hand clutching it. However when it cuts to a closeup, Belle's head is suddenly resting further down, on his white shirt, and she is clutching the shirt now too instead of the cape. (01:17:35)

Suggested correction: No, it doesn't. Gaston puts the belt in his chair.

Continuity mistake: When Gaston breaks that part of the castle off to hit Beast with it, that piece is rather short and stout (maybe 3 feet long). But a couple shots later when Beast grabs onto it, it seems to be a good 5 feet or so long and very thin.

Continuity mistake: Chip the teacup has his chip in the right side of the cup. However in the scene when Belle and the Beast are eating porridge, the Beast slurps his porridge, getting it all over himself, and it then cuts to Mrs. Potts and Chip turning to look at Belle, however in this shot Chip's chip is on the left side of the cup.
