Ten Commandments

Other mistake: In the Bible, Moses had two sons, not one (Gershom) as depicted in the film. He had both sons in Midian before he came back to Egypt to redeem the Jews.

Suggested correction: Differences from the source material are not mistakes. This is an adaptation where Moses only has one son.

This isn't a valid correction. It's not an "adaptation." Otherwise, you could excuse anything. Moses could be called Bob, by your logic.

Other mistake: When Rameses places the dead body of his son on the statue next to his throne, watch as it cuts to a shot of the side of the statue. A dummy was used in this scene, and it becomes obvious. Check out his hair, which looks like plastic, and his eyes, which look like little circles.

Other mistake: When Moses notices the burning bush, he tells Joshua that it is a bush on fire, but not burning. It's too far away for him to see that it's not burning.

Other mistake: At the very start of the Exodus there are three consecutive shots with the blowing of horns. In the next shot, while the camera faces the ground, there are multiple imprints of modern work boot or sneaker soles visible on the dirt (near the spotted goat), on the left side of the screen. These are not sole imprints of the time period. (02:59:25)

Other mistake: When Nefritiri rushes to Moses and cries, "I will not live if you must die," in the next shot as Ramses pulls Nefritiri away, the dark outlines of Charlton Heston's modern-day briefs are visible under the ragged garment he's wearing. (01:35:25)

Continuity mistake: When Moses leads the Hebrews from Egypt, he pauses before them to deliver a little speech before they head out into the desert. He faces the camera and lifts his staff up with his left hand. But on the cutaway shot from behind, he is holding the staff in his right hand.

Question: As Rameses is getting dressed by his servants, Nefretiri stops one servant and takes a sword from him. The shot then cuts to Rameses getting dressed and then Nefretiri comes to give him the sword. What exactly did she do with it: did she stab her dead son (who is placed on that statue), or did she do something else?

Answer: I have always thought she stabbed her dead son. It's obvious she does something with it other than just give it to Rameses.

She doesn't do anything other than give him the sword. She's trying to dramatically convince Ramses to kill Moses. In countless stories, one character will tell another character to kill someone while handing them a weapon.

Answer: She gave the sword to Ramses and told him to bring it back with Moses' blood on it.

Answer: She didn't do anything with it. She took the sword so she could help dress her husband herself.
