Plot hole: Luka sneaks into Bayonetta's hotel room and plants a hidden microphone. While sneaking out, he is caught. That's when he is astonished to find a child with Bayonetta who calls her "mummy." He does eventually escape the room and sits in corner with his radio, surprised that they both went to bed and he receives nothing. The problem is: One must be an idiot to plant a mic in a lone woman's hotel room in the dead of the night, unless he truly enjoys listening to her snoring! Planting the mic in her apartment or office, or on her mobile phone makes a lot more sense.
Continuity mistake: By the end of the film, we realise that the Djinn (in this case an invisible and shape-shifting earthly entity of Islamic lore) has staged most of the film's events as a mass illusion. Meaning, the Djinn is a deceiver and can lead humans into dangerous and even deadly situations, but the Djinn cannot perform physical miracles (or else the whole movie would end almost as soon as it started). At the story's climax, the lead characters, Khalid and Salama, end up in the 62nd-floor penthouse of a luxury high-rise, where Khalid drops Salama to her death from the penthouse balcony, just as the vengeful Djinn intended. However, only minutes earlier, we see that the high-rise building is actually still under construction, and it's stated that the building is months away from completion (its main entrance and plate glass have not even been installed). The Djinn only created the illusion that the building was completed to deceive the lead characters. In reality, without electricity and functioning elevators and hundreds of feet of completed stairwells, there was no physical way for Khalid and Salama to reach the 62nd-floor penthouse suite of the high-rise for the climax scene, even if they were being deceived by illusion.
Continuity mistake: The movie opens with a man walking with a dog by a body of water. He is holding the leash with his left hand and the dog is by his left side. Cut to the next shot taken from across the water, the leash is now in his right hand and the dog is on his right. (00:00:20)
Continuity mistake: When the awful cousin Charlotte hands Gwen the slice of unbirthday cake, she does it with her right hand, left hand, right hand. (00:04:20)
Continuity mistake: The Appraiser puts the condemned tape across Dorothy's wrecked porch. The tape from the bottom right to the upper left is the one in the front of the other diagonal line, but then it's the other way around. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: When Swifty is calming the horse, and the scrap dealer exclaims, "He's fast!", Swifty has his face pressed against the horse's nose; in the cut to the long shot, Swifty is suddenly facing the horse, looking up at it. (00:25:00)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the waiter is wheeling the cart out of the building. Two workers are loading the van, with Saman to order them around. One is wearing a hat, the other isn't. Hatless Guy walks out of the van first and is sprinting back towards the building, with Hat Guy noticeably behind, but in the next shot Fabrizio passes the cart to Hatless Guy and Hat Guy is already way past them both. Factual error: Dido and her husband had 3 children, not two as stated at the end of the movie. Furthermore, she didn't received an inheritance worth 2,000 pounds a year from her father.
Continuity mistake: When Billy pulled the medallion out of the ground, part of the cloth covering it was hanging past his hand, but when he blew dirt off the cloth, the cloth was compactly covering the medallion. Also, the cloth should have had more than some loose dirt on it and the medallion - after buried in the ground for 200 years - should have been dirty and tarnished, not clean. (A cloth covering the medallion would not protect it from soaking rains). (00:23:35)
Continuity mistake: When Aaron throws the umbrella down it turns inside out as it lands on the floor. A couple of shots later the umbrella can be seen from above and it has turned right side out.
Continuity mistake: The layout of the two slices of pizza on the tray and the position of Tyler's fork on his plate differ after Matt reaches the table. The slices of pizza are touching, then spread apart like a "V." Tyler's fork moves from being diagonally across his plate with tines facing him to being situated near the edge of the plate with tines facing Jessica. (00:13:19)
Character mistake: Luca calls Eve in the dark outside the house, searching her. But they all know that Eve is deaf. (00:33:20)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, the little girl's body changes position. When the trucker finds her, her lips are slightly apart, but when the police examine her body, her lips are closed.
Other mistake: The last half of the movie is based in France. Mr. and Mrs. Jones are being rescued by a French man that she has been texting. He comes to them on the cliffs in his boat. The flag waving behind them is the flag from the Netherlands not the French flag. They have the same colors but the stripes on the French flag are vertical while the ones on the Dutch flag are horizontal.
Continuity mistake: At the end the guy is watching the video of the man that shoots himself in the chin, blood and bone go everywhere, then it shows the guy and girl walk in but there's absolutely no blood. They would have definitely noticed it.
Factual error: It was very nice of the East Anglian Transport Museum at Chappel and Wakes Colne to provide a train for the coder to go home in, and come in to work. The station is even in Suffolk; but of the two lines through the station, one is used by public trains, and the other by historic preserved trains. When the coder gets off her morning train, it is seen passing across points from the museum platform line into the railway museum, rather than continuing up the line to Sudbury, as a public train would. Appropriately, the train is a heritage DMU - a museum exhibit which has not been used on the main line for at least 25 years. So that's three reasons why she's not on a train which actually goes anywhere.
Deliberate mistake: The whole premise of the movie is 'artistic license' so to speak; the protagonist signs himself up to the bone marrow donors register, called ADMO in his country (Italy). But he is still a minor, and that is strictly not allowed. Not even with a written consent of the parents as shown in the movie.
Revealing mistake: Not bad digital effects for a combination "Predator" and "Jurassic Park" monster movie, except that the dinosaurs don't cast shadows about half the time.
Visible crew/equipment: When the group are finishing the recording of 'Tell Me if You Wanna Go Home' on the rooftop and Dan and Violet's guitar solos are finishing, the shot begins to pan out. Just before it reverts back to a close up, on the left hand side of the shot a crew member or piece of equipment slips into the shot (the shadow is also visible on the ground).
Continuity mistake: After Seligman offers to wash Joe's coat, she tells him not to and it's her coat. He shrugs it off and sets the coat on the bed and turns, walking away. It suddenly jump cuts to him being back at the foot of the bed facing her and asking her what happened.
