Happy Gilmore picture

Corrected entry: If Happy has enough money to bid on his Grandmother's house then he has enough money to pay the back taxes to the IRS and stop the auction. Also, the IRS only cares about the taxes, anything bid over the tax amount is returned to the owner. Happy could bid a million dollars and win, at which point he'd have to pay his own Grandmother, something we can probably assume she wouldn't sue him for, given their relationship.

Japan-Games

Correction: Except that the IRS gives a specified time to pay the taxes. IE, if the taxes are not paid by such and such a date, the auction will proceed. Happy didn't have enough money by the deadline, but did have enough once the auction started. The IRS would take the taxes owed out, and any money over the amount would go to the owner, however, the person purchasing the house can still force her to move out. Any bid at an auction is legally binding and would have to be paid. There are laws against this, and laws against bidding on your own property (or property of a friend or family member) to jack the price up.

A Very Brady Sequel picture

Corrected entry: When the Bradys land in Hawaii and get off the airplane, they are greeted with flower leis. Marcia gets about 7 leis from cute Hawaiian boys but then in the next scene with Marcia, she is only wearing one.

Correction: Actually, Marcia is wearing all her leis, but you have to look carefully as they are one on top of the other.

101 Dalmatians picture

Corrected entry: If the movie is set in England, where did the raccoons and skunk come from?

Correction: Well they could have been imported and got away, they could have got on a ship by accident and whilst in England adapted to their environment, there are lots of explanations.

Black Sheep picture

Corrected entry: When Mike and Steve meet for the first time, Mike is working on his car. He slams the hood onto his thumbs and is trapped. He then asks Steve to help him. Before Steve actually opens the hood, Mike moves his hands giving Steve better access to the hood release, which would impossible because his thumbs are caught by the closed hood.

Correction: He doesn't move his hands at all, besides tilting them down a little bit since his fingers would be in the way of the rising hood. However, no movement that would have been restricted by his thumbs being caught was made.

Jingle All the Way picture

Corrected entry: The password used at the crook's Santa Claus warehouse, originates from the Batman animated series episode 'Christmas with the Joker', where the named villain chants it while decorating the Arkham Asylum Christmas tree.

Escape From L.A. picture

Corrected entry: Snake is able to surf a tidal wave almost immediately after getting shot in the leg?

Correction: Considering the situation he may have been on an adrenaline high. It is also possible (but painful) to stand on and put stress on a leg that has just been shot.

The Cable Guy picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Chip breaks the basketball backboard glass, if you look closely while the glass is falling, you can see some of it floating, revealing that it was some kind of fake material used.

Correction: None of the glass is "floating", but the close-ups of Chip are in slow motion, so here it may appear that the glass falls slower than in other shots.

The Birdcage picture

Corrected entry: During the dinner scene at Armand's home, Armand and Val go into the kitchen. In one shot Armand is holding the pot of soup with a pad. In the next shot, he picks up the pot without a pot holder.

Hamster Premium member

Correction: I've watched this scene several times -- Armand always has the potholder on his left hand, at all times. Even after he slips and falls out of view and then gets up, before yelling at Agador.

Courage Under Fire picture

Corrected entry: During the rescue, Capt. Walden is shown firing the M-16 A2 on full auto. An M-16 A2 is incapable of firing on full auto. It will only fire semi-auto or a three round burst.

Correction: It could have likely been an M16A3, which looks the same as the A2, but has fully automatic capability.

The Long Kiss Goodnight picture

Corrected entry: When Samantha Caine and Mitch Henessey are driving towards Buffalo, she receives a cell phone call from the villains informing her that they have kidnapped her daughter. They ask for her location, to which she replies "on State Route 5, 15 minutes east of Union Springs, New York." New York State Route 5 does not go through Union Springs; New York State Route 90 does.

Correction: She just says she's on it, and near Union Springs. A fair chunk of State Route 5 passes within 15 minutes of Union Springs.

Cayuga would actually be the closest town/village to identify her location as it is much closer to Route 5 than Union Springs, although 15 minutes south of Rt 5 it's too far south to use it as an East/West location. X minutes West of Auburn would have been a better identifiable location.

Tin Cup picture

Corrected entry: Early in the movie when Kevin Costner is caddying for Don Johnson, DJ has on a visor that has NISSAN on it. When DJ goes to hit his shot NISSAN is gone from the visor, then NISSAN reappears.

Correction: The NISSAN does not disipear when he goes to take the shot. If you look closely you can still see the last N on his visor. As the shot changes camera agnles so quickly it is hard to see, but it is still there.

Set it Off picture

Corrected entry: Near the beginning, Cleo pulls her car into the parking lot and the girls immediately start lying on it. The engine would be way too hot to be able to do that.

Correction: Not if she didn't travel that far.

That Thing You Do picture

Corrected entry: After the band first plays at Villapiano's, the bartender lines up a row of bills in front of Steve Zahn. He then turns one $5 bill sideways, saying it's the band's bonus. When the scene cuts back and forth from the bartender's view to Steve Zahn's - the $5 bill appears and disappears a couple times as the point of view changes.

Correction: In watching this scene, after the bartender turns the $5 sideways, the camera never even shows the bills on the counter again until near the end of the scene, where the $5 bill is shown in the same spot as where the bartender first placed it. (Viewed in the longer Director's Cut of this movie.)

D3: The Mighty Ducks picture

Corrected entry: When Charlie and Fulton are pondering their hockey future, Charlie says they can continue playing locally, and when they turn 17 they can go to Canada and play juniors. Eligibility for Canadian Major-Juniors starts at 16.

Correction: The only Canadian league that is 16 is OHL. WHL and QMJHL are both 17. And when this movie was made all 3 were 17 at the time.

Kingpin picture

Corrected entry: When Roy starts his first roll in the finals, he bowls on the 4th lane from the right, and pins are also set up in the adjacent 3rd lane. As he finishes, he is now on the 3rd lane and the pins in the 4th lane have disappeared. Watch the logo on the wall above the pins to keep track of the lanes.

Correction: In tournament play, standard procedure is to alternate lanes each frame. Therefore, if on the first frame he's on the fourth lane from right he would bowl the tenth frame on the 3rd lane from right.

Trainspotting picture

Corrected entry: When Renton and Spud are being chased by the security guards, in one shot they are running across Hanover Street, then in the next shot they have jumped about half a mile away to Calton Road.

Correction: It may not have been 'real time'.

The Phantom picture

Corrected entry: At the beginning where Billy Zane rescues the little boy from the truck across the rope bridge. We see the pair fall from the truck and grab onto a piece of rope - as this happens you can see that Billy Zane's stuntman's phantom hood has come off and his hair is flowing freely.

Correction: In what way is this a mistake? The Phantom has hair under his hood, and even he is subject to physics, such as his hood being pushed back by a strong wind.

Down Periscope picture

Corrected entry: When the Admirals are going over Dodge's FitRep, Admiral Graham states that Dodge received his tattoo as an ensign. However it is also stated in other scenes that it happened after the Murmansk incident three years ago. One does not go from ensign to Lt. Commander in only three years.

Correction: Commander Dodge only says that after the Mermansk brushing incident he got "a" tattoo. He could easily have more than one.

Fly Away Home picture

Corrected entry: At the end, when the geese are swimming in the lake one flips over and you can see a red ID tag on its leg. Amy wouldn't let the wildlife officer do anything to her geese.

Correction: The wildlife officer had control of the geese all except Igor for a couple of hours. It is highly possible that an ID tag got put on then.

Executive Decision picture

Corrected entry: In the cargo hold of any jetliner, the engine noise would be quite loud, yet the commando team is able to converse in normal tones of voice and there is no engine noise at all. In fact, there is virtually no engine noise at all on any inside part of the jet.

Correction: There is engine noise in the cargo hold, maybe not as loud as it would be but you can hear a constant rumble when the commandos are putting a plan together.
