Continuity mistake: After chasing down Sully, the yellow Porsche is totally wrecked on the left side, until Arnie drives it away, and it's fine. Later, when Arnie and Cindy arrive at the hotel, the car is wrecked again. (00:39:50)
Continuity mistake: During the jail breakout, when Jake tries to open the ORV's door, in the shot facing Francis he is holding the gun in his left hand as he tries to open the door for his brother with his right hand. In the next shot facing Jake just before shouts, "I don't have the handle, open the lock!" Francis's gloved left hand is empty, and next shot, the gun can be seen in his right hand. (00:01:45)
Continuity mistake: When Marty chases after Biff on the borrowed 'skateboard', Marty is wearing a dark grey belt and a red/blue print shirt under his red/beige jacket. However, when Marty is hanging on to the front of Biff's car as they turn a corner (and in another shot), Marty (stunt double) is wearing a light brown belt and solid tan shirt. (01:07:00)
Continuity mistake: When Apollo is getting ready to fight the Russian boxer, he comes out with white boxing gloves on. Sometime during the announcement of the fighters, the camera shows Rocky and Apollo standing in Apollo's corner. Apollo is jumping up and down while pointing with an ungloved and untaped hand, He is saying "I want you". The next time they show Apollo, he has his gloves on again. (00:26:55)
Continuity mistake: When everyone is in the Library, you can see the matches in a cup on the left of the fireplace. When Professor Plum says, "Wait a minute, suppose that one of us is the murderer," you can also see that the matches are in a "V" shape. When Wadsworth walks towards them to pull the matches out, most of them are all leaning to the left side of the cup. As the movie goes on, when the cop gets locked up in the Library for the second time, the same amount of matches are in the holding cup as if Wadsworth did not pull them out and they are in a straight line. Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, when Parker and Hunt are on the bus going to the contest, you'll see that Parker's hair is in waves. But when she arrives at the studio, her hair is VERY curly. Its not likely that she had time to change her hairstyle THAT drastically if she was pressed for time as she very clearly was.
Continuity mistake: When Anne takes the gift from Rachel and leaves, a couple of moments later you can see the red-wrapped package is still sitting on the table next to Rachel.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Hull watches as Eastwood beats up the guys in town. When Hull gets up on the wagon, his hands are fine, but in the next scene he has a bandage, I believe, on his left hand. Then the bandage is gone again and reappears soon after.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film, during the chase scene between the newspaper boy and Lane, you can see the skis of the camera guy.
Continuity mistake: After Molly Ringwald does her trick, she puts the lipstick away twice. It has a shot of her putting it away from the front and then another one from the back.
Continuity mistake: When P.W. is escaping certain trouble somehow his handle bar comes off (with ribbons) a new one is replaced (without ribbons) - cool bike huh? But in the next scene the new handle has ribbons... (01:13:00)
Continuity mistake: During the storm of Lisa's creation, when Wyatt shouts to hang up the phone, Gary leans over Wyatt's arm and places the handset back onto the phone base. However, after Gary shouts, "What's going on?" the handset is still on the modem.
Continuity mistake: Glenn Close's outfit changes four times during the same courtroom scene, while she is giving her opening statement in front of the jury.
Continuity mistake: When Denys Finch-Hatton takes Karen Blixen on a flight in his open bi-plane, he hands her a pair of goggles just before they board the plane. As they sit in the plane she is goggle-less and he hands her another pair.
Continuity mistake: When Fletch and Stanwyk first meet and Stanwyk asks Fletch to come to his home and hear his proposal, Stanwyk is wearing a suit/tie on top but is wearing jeans on the bottom. In the next wide shot as they leave the beach, and again in the next scene as they arrive at Stanwyk's house, he is wearing suit pants. (00:04:50)
Suggested correction: Stanwyck is never wearing jeans in any of the scenes, he's always wearing matching suit pants.
Continuity mistake: When Scott is putting his books in his locker and is talking to Boof, he closes his locker. Then in the next shot, his locker is open. (00:34:30)
Continuity mistake: When Tina runs up the stairs and then falls through, she lands on a blanket but when she stands up, the blanket is gone.
Continuity mistake: Jason chases Pam with a clean machete, however in the shot just before he's hit by the tractor, the machete is bloody. (01:10:40 - 01:11:20)
Continuity mistake: When Rambo fires the rocket launcher at the Russian Hind helicopter, he is clearly seen aiming a LAW rocket launcher. The LAW is fired by pressing a lever on the top. But when Rambo fires, a quick edit from a previous shot (on the patrol boat) shows him pulling a trigger from the Russian RPG launcher he used to dispatch the Vietnamese patrolboat earlier in the film. The film returns to show him holding the LAW rocket launcher again.
Continuity mistake: After a long car chase about mid-way through the film, the camera pans over the highway littered with smashed cars and hundreds of cars piled up. In the middle of this, you see a van painted a little like the Partridge Family bus....definately a one of a kind van. Then you see footage of the car which escaped the chase going down an empty side street and passes the same van. No way there are two vans like this one.
