Trivia: In the first Western release, the movie was - for some unknown reason - dubbed "Warriors of the Wind", and the script underwent several (partially unreasonable) changes. Even some of the scenes where the more peace-seeking aspects were approached - like Nausicaä trying to raise non-poisonous plants in order to find the cause of the world's pollution - were simply cut out. Creator and director Miyazaki has since appealed to the fans to forget about this Western version.
Trivia: On Daniel's desk there is a picture of Courtney Cox. The man who plays Daniel is David Arquette, who was married to Courtney Cox at the time.

Suggested correction: Tinker Bell is born just before spring and then when spring arrives she brings the music box, so the baby can't be Wendy because it was only a few weeks at most.

Trivia: The Erzebet character is based very loosely on a real figure from history, Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Bathory was tried in the 1600's for killing numerous women (some claim as many as 600). Eventually, her horrifying crimes led to the creation of the false legend that she would bathe in the blood of those she killed to retain her youth.
Trivia: Mrs. Brisby's eldest daughter was voiced by a young Shannen Doherty, later to become famous for her role as Brenda in "Beverly Hills 90210."

So 628 had already been created. He was never shown in the entire series, though Leroy is 629.
