Pacific Heights ending / spoiler
When Patty breaks into Carter's hotel room and finds out about his past and secrets. Carter goes back to the Goodman & Palmer's house and attacks Drake Goodman (Modine) with a golf club. He then goes after Patty Palmer (Griffith), but Goodman crawls underneath Carter's former room and grabs Carter's foot through a hole in the floor that Carter made. Carter then falls, back first, onto severed pipes which kills him.
