The story of Joan Crawford as told by her adopted daughter Christina Crawford, based on chilling events from her novel "Mommie Dearest".In the 1940's Joan Crawford was an acomplished actress refered to as "Hollywood Royalty". Later on, her career starts to slip and in order to gain good publicity she adopts a baby girl and names her Christina. Obviously not cut out for motherhood but more for fame, Joan adopts another child and names him Christopher. This story portrays Joan Crawford as a selfish, alcoholic, child abusing train wreck which made the "no wire hangers!" phrase famous.
