The Return of Martin Guerre (1982) plot summary
Husband disappears after stealing from father in law. Impostor comes back and convinces almost everyone he's the real guy. Fights uncle for inheritance, uncle suspicious and takes to trial. Real guy shows up at trial and the impostor is hanged.
