The X-Files: I Want to Believe

Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Skinner rescue Mulder (David Duchovny) at the "clinic" where some Russians are performing a head transplant on one of their colleagues using the body of the second woman who was kidnapped. Father Joe dies of lung cancer and Mulder, always the believer in the unexplainable, believes that he really did have visions because the news article mentioning the illegal body transplants omits any mention of Joe's visions and mentions him as an accomplice. Mulder tells Scully to not give up (what Father Joe told her earlier in the film) and they stay together deciding to not just walk away from darkness (the unexplainable) but to fight it. Scully decides to operate on her patient with the rare disease...

Other mistake: Father Joe says "You brought me to the wrong house", which seems to be a proof of his psychic abilities. However, one does not need to be a psychic to notice the neighboring house all covered with yellow tape reading "CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS." (00:22:20)

Trivia: It seems that Scully's bedtime reading is Dori Carter's "Beautiful Wasps Having Sex." Dori is a spouse of Chris Carter. (00:29:55)

Question: At the end of the movie was a dedication to a man, I believe the name was Randy Stone or something. Does anyone know who that is?

Answer: Randy Stone was Head of Casting at 20th Century Fox Television and part-time actor. When Chris Carter created the X-Files, it was Randy who cast Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny as the leads, Agents Scully and Mulder. A few years later, Randy's connection to Chris Carter continued with Carter's new creation Millennium, which he also cast. Randy was 48 when he died suddenly in February of 2007.
