We are shown a close-up of Stranz standing up and continuing skating, at which point the camera cuts to a close-up of Chazz and Stranz can be seen standing up for a second time in the background.

After attempted sabotage by the brother and sister pairs team, Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg, Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) get to the ice with seconds to spare before disqualification.They start their final skate to try and win the tournament and, when Fairchild sees it going well, she breaks her necklace spilling beads onto the ice. Chazz skates into one lone bead on the ice and breaks his ankle meaning he can't perform the Iron Lotus - the most dangerous and controversial move in all the skating world.Jimmy tells Chazz they'll swop places and he'll lift Chazz...they go for it and with millimetres to spare they pull it off and land it superbly.They win the gold, Jimmy gets his girl, and the Van Waldenberg's are arrested for numerous illicit activities...at which point they erupt into a massive row and share a passionate embrace.
