Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom plot summary
During World War II, in the remote village of Salo in Italy, four wealthy fascists kidnap eighteen teenagers (9 boys and 9 girls) chosen for their physical beauty. They lead them in an isolated castle where they recreate Marquis de Sade's "120 Days of Sodom", a story of extreme sexual depravation and violence. The movie is divided in four chapters, or "cycles, which represent what the teenagers go through: (1) The circle of desire (humiliation, rape, incest, pedophilia); (2) The circle of shit (coprophilia, urination); (3) The circle of blood (torture); and (4) The circle of death (murder).
