After soccer coach Yves Gluant is murdered and his famous Pink Panther diamond stolen, Police Chief Dreyfuss assigns bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau to the case. While Clouseau and his assistant Ponton are working on the case, Dreyfuss is working on an investigation of his own in order to win the Medal of Honor.
