Angel dies, and Roger leaves for Santa Fe. While there, he "finds himself" and realizes that he is in love with Mimi and moves back to New York to be with her. When he gets there, however, he finds that Mimi has gone missing. On Christmas Eve, Maureen and Joanne (who have reconciled)carry Mimi to Roger's apartment after finding her huddled in Central Park in the freezing cold. It turns out that she has been living on the street for the past two months and is now desperatly ill. While Collins calls for a doctor, Roger sits at her bedside and sings his "one song" for her, "Your Eyes." After he finishes, Mimi dies. Moments later, however, she comes back, saying that Angel led her back to life. Mark screens his film, and they all realize that there truly is "no day but today."

Sally

Factual error: One of Angel's lyrics (in "Today For You, Tomorrow For Me) refers to the movie "Thelma and Louise." Rent (the movie) is set in 1989-90. "Thelma and Louise" was released in 1991. This was caused when they did the move from Broadway to the screen. The stage show did not specify the year. So when they adapted the stage show to the movie, they didn't check the references. Plus it just sounds cool. (00:28:25)

Question: Just before Angel and Collins invite Roger and Mark to go to the life support meeting, Angel says something in Spanish. Does anyone know what it is?

Answer: "This egg needs some salt." It's a Spanish idiom meaning that he needs a girlfriend.
