Continuity mistake: When John first meets Raymond, Raymond sticks his business card in the black slot and it is big enough that it hangs over the slot. When the camera pans away from the card to go back to their conversation, it disappears. At the end of the scene it appears again, because they end on a close-up of the card. (00:15:45)

The pregnant wife of the architect Jonathan Reeves (Michael Keaton) is missed after a car accident near a cliff, and the police do not know whether she is dead or abducted. Some weeks later, a mysterious man comes to Jonathan and tells him that his wife is dead and had communicated with him through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Later Jonathan is informed by the police that her body was found in the sea near a harbor, and the tormented grieving Jonathan decides to try to contact her using uncontrolled EVP and jeopardizing his own life.
Jonathan Rivers: Do I know you?
Raymond Price: My name is Raymond Price.
Jonathan Rivers: Are you following me?
Raymond Price: It's about your wife, Mr. Rivers. I've been receiving messages from her from the other side.
Jonathan Rivers: From what other side?
Raymond Price: Jonathan, your wife is dead.
Question: I'm not sure if this could be a plot hole or not, but did Jonathan Rivers ever come under suspicion in any of the deaths that he happened to encounter?

Answer: The cop thought he was a suspect, Rivers knows this because when the officer asks him if he is going home whilst at the hospital, he replies with "I'm not leaving town, if that's what you're thinking."
