Ray ending / spoiler
Ray Charles overcomes his drug addiction and his personal demons (guilt over his brother's death). In the late 70s, the state of Georgia gives Ray a public apology, he's no longer banned and "Georgia on my Mind" becomes the state's national song. Ray kept his promise to his mother and never used heroin again. He contributed over $20 million to schools for the blind and deaf.
