Rope plot summary
Brandon and Philip are two young men who share a New York apartment. One afternoon they decide to kill their friend David by strangling him with a rope and placing the body in an old chest, as an intellectual challenge to commit the perfect murder. They then proceed to hold a small party where they invite David's father, his fiancée Janet, his rival Kenneth and their old schoolteacher Rupert Cadell, from whom they mistakenly took their ideas, as guests. As Brandon becomes increasingly more daring & Philip becomes more suspcious, Rupert begins to suspect that the two are up to something.
