A.I. Artificial Intelligence ending / spoiler
David becomes a real boy and dies in Monica's arms, 2000 years after he was first created. I don't know what ending this guy was watching, but the robots (yes, they were supposed to be robots -- decendents of the original mecha) tell David that they can only bring people back for one whole day if they have a sample of their DNA. Teddy had a lock of Monica's hair from when David cut off a piece while she was sleeping, so Monica is revived for one day. At the end of the day, Monica falls asleep and dies, while David finally falls asleep. He does not become real, he shuts down.
