Continuity mistake: When Dr. Harvey sees his dead wife, Amelia, for the first time as a ghost, he talks to her half way up the staircase in the manor while the party is going on. The camera changes angles a few times from the side of their heads, to Amelia's view of Dr. Harvey. In each different camera angle, his hair changes place, from the side of his head, it slips down in front of his face.
Casper (1995)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Brad Silberling
Starring: Bill Pullman, Christina Ricci, Eric Idle, Cathy Moriarty, Chauncey Leopardi, Malachi Pearson, Spencer Vrooman
After Cathy Moriarty's ghost gets Casper's treasure (which turns out to be a baseball mit), she no longer has any unfinished business, and therefore crosses over into the next world. Bill Pullman finally gets a chance to talk to his dead wife. She tells him that Christina Ricci is growing up and that he has to move on after her death and be a good father. Casper gets his wish to dance as a human with Christina Ricci at the Halloween dance, but at the stroke of 10:00 pm, he turns back into a ghost. This freaks everyone out and they run out of the house. Then Bill Pullman, Christina Ricci, Casper, and his three crazy uncles dance to Little Richard's rendition of the Casper the Friendly Ghost theme song.
Guy
Kat: Drop dead.
Stretch: Too late.
Trivia: Early in the film, an SUV is smashed by a wrecking ball in front of Whipstaff. A real SUV was smashed for that film and it was obviously one that had been in a wreck previously. Notice that the passenger door is crooked and pulled away from the frame.
