John Q ending / spoiler
Denzel wants to commit suicide in order to give his son a heart. He lays down on the operating table, pulls out his gun, and shoots but nothing happens because he put the lock on earlier and then his wife tells him that they have a heart, and it ends up being the girl that we saw get in he crash at the beginning's heart! John was convicted later to stay in jail for 2 years.
