Claire Quilty (the playwright) is the guy who Delores (Lolita) Haze runs off with and Humbert kills him. Lolita, at 17, is married and pregnant. She refuses to return to Humbert. Lolita dies in childbirth, and Humbert dies of a heart attack in prison.
