Excalibur ending / spoiler
Lancelot reconciles with Arthur just before he dies. Only Arthur, Percival and Mordred survive at the end of the battle. Mordred skewers Arthur with his spear, but Arthur stabs Mordred´s throat, killing him. Dying, Arthur asks Percival to throw Excalibur in a pool of calm water. Percival refuses but Arthur tells him that another king will come, and Excalibur shall rise once again. Percival throws the sword, which is grabbed by a hand that rises from the water. Percival returns and sees Arthur lying in a boat attended by ladies clad in white. The boat goes out of sight.
