Brokedown Palace ending / spoiler
Alice (Claire Danes) lies and says that smuggling drugs was her idea and that Darlene (Kate Beckinsale) is innocent and offers to serve both sentences so that Darlene would go free. Darlene is released from prison and goes back home. Alice narrates that doing what she did for Darlene is the most honest thing she's ever done and knows that Hank (Bill Pullman) and Darlene will do their best to get her out of prison...
