When Harry Met Sally plot summary
Harry Burns and Sally Albright meet in the late 70's as they drive together to New York City after college. They dont' really get along, and have a big discussion about how men and women can never really be friends because "the sex thing gets in the way." They see each other again after 5 years, and still don't get along. Another 6 years go by, Harry has been married but is getting divorced, and Sally just broke up with her boyfriend of 6 years. This time, they become friends, but their friendship intensifies, and they wind up having sex, which does indeed get in the way of their friendship.
