Scream 3

The killer draws Sidney to Miltons house with Gale and Dewey as hostages. He then chases Sidney before revealing himself. It's Sidney's long-lost brother, Roman Bridges, the director of Stab 3. He also claimed to have been the mastermind behind the murder of Sidney's mother, which was then the catalyst for Billy to start the killings in Scream! Roman shoots Sidney, supposedly killing her. Sidney then gets back up and stabs him revealing she was wearing a bulletproof vest. She stabs him three times. He then gets back up, seemingly invincible before Dewey puts a bullet in his head. Dewey proposes to Gale who accepts and Sidney lives happpily with Kincait supposedly living with her. Just before the movie ends a door swings open and Sidney smiles. The door suggests that they are literally leaving the door open for another sequel.

Continuity mistake: When Sidney is first going into the house for the end of the movie it is clear that she is not wearing the vest underneath her clothes and as she is walking around or when she is rolling on the ground fighting with her half brother you see her bellybutton but then she has the vest on and it goes over the belly button.

Trivia: Kevin Williamson (who had written the first two films, as well as the fourth) had an entirely different plot in mind, which he had outlined and given to the studio, only for it to be passed on. His original concept had the killers in the film be members of a "Stab" (the film-within-the-film) fan-club, who orchestrated the murders in order to gain fame and become heirs to Sidney Prescott's status as the soul-survivor. Aspects of this unused original story treatment were re-written into the fourth film, which features a killer whose motivation is fame and becoming the soul-survivor.

Question: Was Roman just playing dead in the coffin or was it a dummy? Hard to believe that he could be pretending because Gale checks his pulse.

Answer: No it was Roman. There is a technique you can do where if you apply pressure on the correct artery you can stop the pulse. EXTREMELY dangerous though.
